Hey guys and gals...what's up with SUNW?!? the share price has lost about 20% in the last year? What's happening Joy, McNealy, Vinod, and Andreas? !? What the Schwartz is going on?!? Maybe SUNW's top brass needs a kick in the pants to resurrect Sun to it's previous brilliance...? Come on guys and gals, we put the dot in dot com!

Takeover Material?

In the April 12 issue of the S.F. Chronicle in the
"Business" section, there was an article that explored
the possibility that Sun would go the way of Compaq
and DEC, and be acquired by another company.
The writer cited the low stock price (<$5/share), the
settling of the Microsoft litigation, and the impending
third round of layoffs as Sun putting it's house in order
to become prime takeover material. Who would *want*
to acquire Sun? IBM? I can't think of any likely suitors.
Anyone have any guesses or ideas?

28 people, 15 years, no match?

There are 28 people in the tribe (not including me), and I worked at Sun for nearly 15 years, but I don't recognize a single person in the gallery. I think statistics says that there's at least one other person in the group with my same birthday (August 9; true?). Shouldn't there be at least one other person here with whom I worked, knew or at least passed in the hall?
